Full time, 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

ABP is the UKs leading port operator, with a unique network of 21 ports across England, Scotland and Wales. Our ports include Immingham, the UKs busiest port and Southampton, the UKs leading export port and number one for cars and cruise. The group's other activities include rail terminal operations (Hams Hall Rail Terminal), ship's agency, dredging (UK Dredging Ltd), and marine consultancy (ABPmer). Each port also offers a well-established community of port service providers.

In 2015 ABP and its customers handled 92 million tonnes of cargo. Together with our customers, we support 84,000 jobs and contribute 5.6 billion to the UK economy every year.

Our five South Wales ports cover an area of 3,800 acres and contribute 1.4 billion to the UK economy. Along with our customers, we support close to 15,000 jobs across Wales.

With a substantial land bank to support development of a range of projects, South Wales is involved in a significant number of renewable energy schemes such as the Barry Solar farm & the installation of wind turbines across South Wales Ports. As of 2016 ABP South Wales is home to over 10MW of renewable energy projects.

The Role

Reporting to the Business Transformations Programme (BTP) Training Lead, the Logistics and Operations Support Trainer is responsible for the successful delivery and implementation of ABP's SAP ERP project as well as being responsible for all training and development within the programme.

Accountabilities

  • Work with key programme and business stakeholders to review and approve materials.
  • Deliver end user training as per the approved training schedule as well as developing detailed course outlines documenting required courses.
  • Update and amend materials as required.
  • Report status as required to training lead and programme management.
  • Knowledge transfer from functional consultants and process owners to fully understand the design and processes related to the finance implementation.
  • Develop all materials as assigned by the development tracker including slide packs, user guides, quick reference guides, assessments and population of training client as required.
  • Scope any eLearning requirements with the eLearning Content Author, and provide support and SME assistance to them as required for the development of online learning interventions.

Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • Several years' experience on SAP programmes specifically focused on logistics training development and delivery.
  • Demonstrable detailed knowledge of SAP Logistics modules including WM.
