the General Manager, Service Delivery the purpose of the role is to lead the
Landside Operations team to successfully deliver and continually improve Port
operations, landside, in the key areas of Safety, Quality, Service and
- Build and embed
the new Port Operations Team. This will involve developing, motivating and
training a diverse team in order for them to be able to fulfil their duties in
line with customer and business expectations.
- Lead the Port
Operations and Stevedoring teams to successfully deliver in safety, quality,
service and efficiency for the cruise business and other general Port
activities. Also, identifying areas where safety, quality, service and
efficiency can be improved, relating not just specifically to the landside
operations but to the port operations as a whole.
- Effectively lead
and manage a 24/7 operation, ensuring suitable control mechanisms are in place
to execute the plan in line with customer and business expectations and
ensuring space within the port is used efficiently.
- Act as an
ambassador for the Beyond Zero safety campaign. Ensuring high levels of safe
and healthy working standards are maintained at all times, and Health &
Safety policies & procedures are adhered to. You will also be required to
contribute to the management of the departmentís Risk Assessments and Safe
Systems of Work.
